Laser hair removal is a method in which hair follicles are destroyed by exposing them to the electric pulses that come from a laser light. This method works on the principle of selective photothermolysis, in which rays of a particular wavelength are used to heat the hair tissue (follicle), then destroy it while doing no harm to the surrounding tissue. With every session, follicles break down, which reduces the regrowth process.
In layman’s terms, what a patient learns about the treatment is that 6-7 mandatory laser hair removal sessions must be completed over a period of time in order to achieve the desired results.
